Panic Attacks – Can You Cure Them Without Drugs?

Panic attacks and/or anxiety attacks, as there’s not much difference, can hit you at any time. They hit you like lightening and probably do as much damage. If you are a helpless victim of panic attacks do you wish you could magic them away? Maybe you can

Hit Like A Train

My wife had her very first (and most frightening) panic attack while she was out driving in our car. Clearly this could have had disastrous consequences. As soon as we knew we were safe and the initial shock had died down, shock for us both I might add. We made an appointment to see our doctor.

We got a standard lesson on the facts. Nothing to worry about, never in any real danger etc etc. Then we got a prescription for beta blockers. I’m using the term “we” here as I felt as much part of it as my wife did. The drugs would slow her heart rate and stop the onset of the attacks, fingers crossed.

We tentatively went out in the car again and sure enough at the same junction my wife started to feel an attack coming on. The result was a panic attack but with a calm heart rate. She described it as worse than normal as she felt both out of control and calm at the same time.

Put The Drugs Where They Belong….In The Trash

The drugs went straight in the trash as soon as we got home. Me driving this time. My wife suffered for about nine months not being able to get behind the wheel. My wife had mixed emotions because while not driving she was panic attack free, she could not bring herself to drive.

We couldn’t let this situation go on. Her not being able to drive for fear of having an attack at the wheel. I constantly searched the internet for help and advice, and to be honest, hopefully a magic cure. None of them worked properly, at least not for us.

We Tried Hundreds…And Then Some

I came across yet another “system” that claimed to be a magic bullet. We thought we may as well give it a go. We knew any success wasn’t down to drugs as she wasn’t taking them anymore. Fingers crossed it was looking good. The first attempt at driving and she got the overwhelming senses of an attack coming. She put the system into gear and managed to come out unscathed. So far so good.

In our debriefing session later she said that although there was a panic attack, it was no where near as bad as before because of the new system. This knowledge alone boosted her confidence no end. She was sure that next time she had an attack she had the tools to halt it in its tracks, although it didn’t work out as good as that.

Little By Little

Again though, she managed to lessen its effects. Each and every time she felt an attacking growing she decreased its effects. In less than a month she was able to know when an attack loomed. And more importantly stop it completely.

If you are a sufferer you can carry on as you are, or try drugs from your doctor. Either way there’s a good chance you won’t get better any time soon.

Or you can take the matter into your own hands and stop these panic attacks without drugs; the answer is here at this website…
